"Every love story is beautiful,

but yours is my favourite..."

You had me at hello…

My first camera was a Mamiya/Sekor 1000TL which didn’t work, but I was a kid with an imagination and that’s all I needed. I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with photography but when it did happen, my young self never thought that this is what I wanted to do. Until my late 20s…

In 2013 while living in Cape Town, I sent an email that would change the trajectory of my life forever. She was a young photographer whose work I loved and I asked if I could help her out from time to time. A week and a lunch later, I was assisting at my first wedding. Trust me, assisting is not as glamorous as it sounds but it was an opportunity, and one I towards the horizon with. It wasn’t long before I was promoted to second shooter and with every wedding I fell deeper in love with wedding photography. In 2014 I took a leap of faith, left my corporate job to become a full time photographer. I remember my dad being very concerned that while following my dreams, I would end up back on his payroll. Before I chickened out I packed up my life, said goodbye to my brother, friends and the Mother City, drove towards the bright lights of Johannesburg and never looked back.

I am a romantic at heart and in the kitchen, a believer in all things awesome, I laugh a lot and I cry during soppy parts in movies. When you invite me into your life – even for a short while – to turn your moments into forever, you’ll definitely be getting the best of me.
